Senior Accounting Officer - SAP & FMCG Finance in Sharjah

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Accounting Officer to join our dynamic finance team in Sharjah. About the Role

The Senior Accounting Officer will be responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. This position requires a strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, specifically within the fast-paced FMCG industry. Proficiency in SAP is essential for managing complex financial data and generating insightful reports. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and compliance.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with IFRS and local regulations.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and internal controls.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
• Assist with budget preparation and monitoring.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Utilize SAP for financial data management and reporting.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting roles.
• Proven experience with SAP FICO module.
• Strong knowledge of FMCG industry accounting practices.
• Excellent understanding of IFRS and UAE financial regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
