Floriculture Agronomist or Agricultural Technician – Rose Production, Setif (Ain Arnat & Barika)

About the Role

Our young company specializes in rose production and operates farms in Aïn Arnat – Setif and Barika, Algeria. We are seeking a skilled Agricultural Technician or Agronomist with a focus on floriculture to support and enhance our cultivation processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and monitor rose cultivation cycles, including planting, pruning, pest and disease management.
• Conduct soil analysis, fertilization programs, and irrigation scheduling to optimize plant health.
• Collaborate with production teams to improve yield, flower quality, and post‑harvest handling.
• Maintain detailed field records, generate reports, and ensure compliance with local agricultural regulations.
• Train and supervise junior staff on best practices in floriculture.
• Evaluate new varieties, technologies, and sustainable practices for potential adoption.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, or related field; specialization in floriculture preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial rose or ornamental plant production.
• Strong knowledge of pest‑control, nutrient management, and irrigation systems.
• Proficiency in field data collection and basic agricultural software.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Fluency in French and Arabic is advantageous; English communication skills required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with greenhouse management and climate control.
• Familiarity with organic and sustainable cultivation methods.
• Certification in integrated pest management (IPM) or similar.
