Accountant Kuwait Financial Statements Preparation Full Time

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team in Kuwait. This position focuses on financial reporting, statement preparation, and financial data analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in a corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
• Monitor and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with IFRS and local Kuwait accounting regulations
• Perform general ledger reconciliation and maintain chart of accounts integrity
• Coordinate with internal departments for month-end close and year-end audit processes
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries as required
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities with variance analysis
• Ensure timely submission of regulatory filings and tax compliance requirements in Kuwait
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets

Requirements

Hard Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA) preferred
• 3+ years of accounting experience in Kuwait or GCC region
• Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and Kuwait Commercial Companies Law
• Experience with financial consolidation, intercompany transactions, and multi-currency accounting
• Proven track record in statutory reporting and audit coordination
