General Accountant - Kuwait

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled General Accountant to join our team in Kuwait. This role is critical to ensuring accurate financial reporting and smooth accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent Excel skills, and experience with financial software. This position is open only to candidates currently residing in Kuwait.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and receivable
• Prepare financial statements and reports
• Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger entries
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes
• Maintain accurate financial records

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in general accounting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Currently residing in Kuwait (mandatory)

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification (CPA, CMA, or equivalent)
• Experience in the Kuwaiti market
• Knowledge of IFRS
