Restaurant Hostess

Role Overview

We are seeking a warm, professional, and customer-focused Restaurant Hostess to join our team in Kuwait. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for all guests, responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience by creating a welcoming and hospitable atmosphere from the moment customers walk through the door.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and Welcome Guests: Provide a friendly, courteous, and professional greeting to all customers upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression.
• Manage Reservations: Handle table bookings, manage the reservation system, and coordinate seating arrangements to ensure smooth and efficient guest flow.
• Answering Telephone Calls: Promptly and professionally answer all incoming phone calls, assist with inquiries, take reservations, and provide information about the restaurant's services and menu.
• Seating Coordination: Escort guests to their tables, distribute menus, and ensure that each guest is comfortable and attended to promptly.
• Customer Service Excellence: Address guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests with professionalism and a positive attitude, escalating issues to management when necessary.
• Maintain the Reception Area: Keep the entrance and reception area clean, organized, and well-presented at all times.
• Collaborate with Staff: Work closely with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless service and a coordinated dining experience.
• Waitlist Management: Manage the waitlist during peak hours, accurately communicate estimated wait times, and notify guests when their table is ready.
• Guest Departure: Thank guests warmly upon departure and invite them to return, reinforcing a memorable dining experience.

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous experience in a restaurant, hospitality, or customer service role is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a natural ability to engage with guests.
• Professional appearance and a polished, well-groomed presentation.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with reservation systems and point-of-sale (POS) software is an advantage.
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a strong plus.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• A genuine passion for delivering outstanding hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
