Bagpipe Instructor

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Bagpipe Instructor to join our team in Amman. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in bagpipe performance, music theory, and pedagogical techniques to guide students from beginner to advanced levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach students how to play the bagpipes, focusing on proper fingering, breath control, and tone production.
• Develop structured lesson plans tailored to individual student skill levels and learning goals.
• Instruct students in music theory, sight-reading, and repertoire development.
• Prepare students for public performances, recitals, and competitive events.
• Maintain and care for bagpipe instruments, ensuring optimal playing condition.
• Track student progress and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
• Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that inspires musical growth.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Proven experience as a bagpipe player and instructor with a strong performance background.
• Comprehensive knowledge of bagpipe music traditions, repertoire, and techniques.
• Strong understanding of music theory and ability to convey concepts clearly to students of all levels.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patience and enthusiasm for teaching.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Experience preparing students for performances, examinations, or competitions is highly preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in multiple musical instruments in addition to the bagpipes.
• Familiarity with both traditional and contemporary bagpipe repertoire.
• Experience working with youth and adult learners in individual or group settings.
• Certification or formal training in music education is a plus.
