Project Director – Interior Fit‑Out (Doha, Qatar)

About the Role

Our client is a leading engineering consultancy based in Doha, Qatar, specializing in high‑end interior fit‑out projects for commercial and institutional clients. The Project Director – Fit‑Out will own the full delivery cycle, from concept through handover, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership: Direct and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, MEP specialists, and subcontractors.
Scope Management: Define project scope, deliverables, and milestones; manage changes and variations.
Schedule & Budget Control: Develop detailed programme and cost plans, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions to meet targets.
Client & Stakeholder Management: Serve as primary point of contact, provide regular updates, and ensure client satisfaction.
Quality Assurance: Enforce compliance with Qatar construction standards, health & safety regulations, and internal quality procedures.
Procurement & Contracts: Oversee tendering, subcontractor selection, and contract administration.
Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks throughout the lifecycle.
Reporting: Prepare and present progress reports, financial statements, and performance dashboards.

Requirements

Minimum 10 years of experience delivering high‑end interior fit‑out projects in the GCC or comparable markets.
Proven track record as a Project Director or Senior Project Manager on projects valued at USD 10 million +.
Strong knowledge of Qatar construction codes, BIM workflows, and sustainable design practices.
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; PMP or PRINCE2 certification preferred.
