Head of Contract

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Head of Contract to lead the contract sub-team responsible for managing a multi-billion-dollar EPCC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning) contract and associated subcontracts for major projects. This is a senior leadership role demanding strategic contract management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of contract professionals overseeing the full contract lifecycle of major EPCC projects.
• Negotiate, draft, and administer complex contracts and subcontracts, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual risks, including claims and variations.
• Collaborate with project managers, legal, finance, and procurement teams to align contract terms with project objectives.
• Monitor contractor performance and enforce contract terms to ensure delivery on time and within budget.
• Develop and implement contract management policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Provide expert guidance on contract interpretation, dispute resolution, and change management.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in contract management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing large-scale EPCC contracts.
• In-depth knowledge of contract law, procurement, and commercial management.
• Proven track record of managing multi-billion-dollar contracts in the energy, oil and gas, or infrastructure sectors.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Contract Administration, Law, or Business.
• Professional certifications such as CPCM, CFCM, or similar.
• Experience working in the Middle East, particularly Qatar, on major EPCC projects.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
