English Teacher

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and passionate English Teacher to join our secondary school team for the HSD/IBDP programs. This is a permanent, full-time position within the academic department, reporting directly to the Head of Secondary.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and rigorous English lessons for HSD and IBDP curricula
• Develop lesson plans, assessments, and instructional materials aligned with program standards
• Foster critical thinking, literary analysis, and effective communication skills
• Monitor and report student progress, providing constructive feedback
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and school-wide initiatives
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences and professional development workshops

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
• Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, state license, or equivalent)
• Minimum 2 years of experience teaching English at secondary level, preferably in IBDP or HSD
• Excellent command of English (native or near-native fluency)
• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners
