HVAC/CRAC Technician
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled HVAC/CRAC Technician to join our facility operations team in Qatar. This role demands a high level of expertise in maintaining and repairing critical environmental control systems, including chillers, air conditioning units, and computer room air conditioning (CRAC) systems. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and ensure optimal performance of all facility equipment.
Core Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC and CRAC systems to ensure continuous operation.
- Monitor and maintain chillers, air handlers, and associated equipment to meet temperature and humidity specifications.
- Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to identify system faults and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Document all service activities, including parts used, system readings, and maintenance logs, in accordance with company standards.
- Collaborate with facility management to schedule preventive maintenance and minimize downtime.
- Respond to emergency service calls and perform after-hours repairs as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in HVAC and CRAC system maintenance, preferably in a commercial or data center environment.
- In-depth knowledge of refrigeration cycles, electrical circuits, and control systems.
- Relevant technical certifications (e.g., EPA Section 608, HVAC certification) are highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently under pressure.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with large-scale chilled water systems and variable refrigerant flow (VRF) technology.
- Familiarity with building management systems (BMS) and monitoring tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in industrial settings.
