EVENTS PLANNER

Role Overview

As an Events Planner at QatarEnergy, you will be accountable for performing all activities and processes of both event evaluation and event management functions for internal and external events. This role is central to delivering high-impact corporate events that reflect QatarEnergy’s commitment to excellence in the energy sector.

Core Responsibilities

Event Evaluation & Strategy: Analyze event performance data, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices to enhance attendee experience and operational efficiency.

Event Planning & Coordination: Manage end-to-end event logistics including venue selection, vendor management, budget oversight, timeline creation, and on-site execution for conferences, seminars, corporate meetings, and public engagements.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments (communications, marketing, senior leadership) and external partners to align event objectives with corporate branding and strategic goals.

Compliance & Safety: Ensure all events meet QatarEnergy’s health, safety, and environmental standards, as well as local regulations and protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in event planning and management, preferably in a corporate or energy industry environment.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale events (100+ attendees) from concept to post-event evaluation.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with event budgeting and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of Qatar’s local event venues, vendors, and cultural considerations.
• Certification in event planning (e.g., CMP, CSEP) is a plus.
• Fluency in English and Arabic preferred.
