Mechanical Technician – Preventive & Corrective Maintenance (Qatar)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on a wide range of mechanical equipment. This role is critical to ensuring operational reliability and minimizing downtime in industrial facilities across Qatar.

Core Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance on pumps, motors, valves, gearboxes, compressors, and piping systems.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and perform corrective repairs to restore equipment functionality.
• Overhaul and rebuild mechanical assemblies according to manufacturer specifications.
• Inspect equipment regularly to identify wear, misalignment, or potential failures.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and report on equipment condition.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a clean, organized work environment.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma or vocational training in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance within industrial settings.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair rotating equipment and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Strong understanding of preventive maintenance best practices.
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with vibration analysis or condition monitoring.
• Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
• Certification in welding or machining is a plus.
• Knowledge of safety standards (OSHA, ISO).
