Senior Hardware & Network Engineer | Riyadh | 8-12 Yrs Exp

About the Role

PeopleStrong is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Hardware and Network Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, managing, and troubleshooting complex hardware and network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of enterprise-level systems, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a robust understanding of contemporary networking technologies to ensure the seamless operation of our IT environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive computer hardware systems, encompassing desktops, laptops, servers, and peripherals.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot robust LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless network infrastructures.
• Proactively monitor network performance, guarantee high availability, and implement necessary performance tuning measures.
• Oversee network security protocols, including firewalls, antivirus solutions, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and data encryption.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets and ensure effective hardware lifecycle management.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for efficient hardware and software procurement and ongoing support.
• Install and maintain server operating systems, including both Windows Server and Linux environments.
• Conduct periodic network audits and implement industry best practices for compliance and optimal performance.
• Manage and maintain reliable data backup and recovery solutions.
• Provide timely technical support to end-users, resolving hardware and network issues within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Accurately document all system configurations, operational processes, and procedures.
• Facilitate system remote access for global teams.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of demonstrable experience in hardware and network engineering.
• Proven experience with CCNA & CCNP certifications or equivalent knowledge.
• Strong understanding of Network Security principles and practices.
• Expertise in Network Architecting and design.
• Bachelor of Technology Honors (BTech Hons) in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Proficiency in hardware deployments and network configuration.
• Experience managing Windows Server and Linux environments.
