About the Role

John Wood Group PLC is seeking a highly experienced Principal Contracts Manager to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role is instrumental in supporting our projects business, specifically contributing to the development of a new gold mine and processing facility situated at a remote site within Saudi Arabia. As a key player, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all contracts related to essential site-based services, including camp operations, logistics, maintenance, and general services, ensuring seamless project execution and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and administer contracts for site-based services, including camp operations and logistics.
• Oversee contracts related to maintenance and general services at the remote project site.
• Contribute to the development and execution of contract strategies for the new gold mine project.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions throughout the project lifecycle.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external service providers to manage contract performance.
• Identify and mitigate contract risks, ensuring effective resolution of disputes.
• Support the financial management of contracts, including budget adherence and cost control.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Contracts Manager, preferably in large-scale project environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing contracts for site services such as camp operations and logistics.
• Strong understanding of contract law and best practices in contract administration.
• Ability to work effectively at a remote site and manage complex service agreements.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with the regulatory environment in Saudi Arabia is advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Law, Engineering) or equivalent experience.
